Connect with an API token
-
In Udemy Business:
- Sign in to Udemy Business as an admin and click Manage in the upper right.
- Click Settings in the left-hand sidebar, then APIs & integrations.
- Choose the system you are integrating with from the drop-down menu, or Other if it is not listed, and click Save. The API is now enabled.
- Copy the four Rest API credentials shown on the same screen: Account Name / Subdomain, Account ID, Client ID and Client Secret.
Where to find the other values:
- Organization: Account Name / Subdomain on Manage › Settings › APIs & integrations.
- Organization ID: Account ID on Manage › Settings › APIs & integrations.
- Client ID: Client ID on Manage › Settings › APIs & integrations.
APIs are available only to Enterprise customers and the API settings only to admins. Udemy does not offer separate scopes; the Rest API credentials cover the Reporting API. xAPI and GraphQL credentials are separate and not used here. The vendor_doc article (115005521688) is behind a bot challenge; the steps come from Udemy's current credentials article.

Frameworks
Safeguard's automated tests read Udemy Business and map to the controls below. When a test passes, the result is evidence toward each control it maps to, in every framework listed. It is evidence toward a control, not proof that the control is met on its own.
| Framework | Evidence | Controls | Tests |
|---|---|---|---|
| SOC2 | Automated tests | CC1.4, CC2.2 | 1 |
| ISO/IEC 27001 | Automated tests | A.6.3 | 1 |
| HIPAA Security Rule | Automated tests | 164.308(a)(5) | 1 |
| PCI DSS | Automated tests | 12.6.1 | 1 |
| NIST CSF 2.0 | Automated tests | PR.AT-01 | 1 |
These tests are switched on per workspace by the Safeguard team.
