Connect with an API token

In TalentLMS:
- Sign in to TalentLMS with a super administrator account (only super administrators can activate API support and get the API key).
- Go to Account & Settings › Basic settings, activate API support and copy the API key.
Where to find the other values:
- Domain: The part before .talentlms.com in your TalentLMS address; the API endpoint is https://<domain>.talentlms.com/api.
TalentLMS's public documentation does not cover every step.
From TalentLMS API Documentation v7.0: 'Only super administrators are able to activate API support and get the API key' and the key is managed under Account & Settings → Basic settings. The PDF does not give the exact checkbox or field label for enabling the API, or whether the key stays visible. TalentLMS has no read-only key; the key gives full API access.

On Compliance › Connectors, open TalentLMS, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:
Field What to enter Domain Required. The part before .talentlms.com in your address. API key Required. Stored encrypted and never shown again. -
Click Connect with token.
Frameworks
Safeguard's automated tests read TalentLMS and map to the controls below. When a test passes, the result is evidence toward each control it maps to, in every framework listed. It is evidence toward a control, not proof that the control is met on its own.
