Connect with an API token

  1. In Secure Code Warrior:

    1. Log in as a Company Administrator and select Administration Menu from the top navigation menu.
    2. From the More drop-down menu, click Edit Company.
    3. In the Company Details dialogue, scroll to Report API, enter a label for the API key and click Generate Key to create a Report API key (read-only).
    4. Save the key in a safe place right away; Secure Code Warrior has no access to your private API keys.

Where to find the other values:

Only Company Administrators can generate keys. Use the Report API key (read-only), not the Admin API key (read-write, enabled on request through Support). Keys are anonymised; the docs do not say outright that the key is shown only once. Rate limit: 10 requests per second and 5 concurrent requests. The EU/US host choice is inferred from the two documentation hosts listed. Verification: the article HTML returned 403; the same article was read through the Zendesk Help Center API and supports every step.

    Source: help.securecodewarrior.com, checked 2026-10-07.

  2. On Compliance › Connectors, open Secure Code Warrior, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

    FieldWhat to enter
API token / Personal access tokenRequired. Stored encrypted and never shown again.
    Base URL (optional)—
Account / Org / Workspace (optional)—
  3. Click Connect with token.
