Connect xAI to collect business applications evidence with automated compliance tests, switched on per workspace.

Connect with an API token

1. In xAI:

   1. In the xAI Console, go to Settings › Management Keys.
   2. Create a management key and copy it.
   3. On the users page of the xAI Console, make sure your xAI account has the Management Keys Read + Write permission; if you can't find these options, ask your team administrator to grant it.

   The permissions Safeguard needs: Management key (team scope). xAI issues no read-only credential. Safeguard only reads with it, and you can revoke it at any time. Needs an xAI management key from console.x.ai › Settings › Management Keys, scoped to your team. Leave the team ID blank to use the key's own team. An API key for the models does not work here.

2. On Compliance › Connectors, open xAI, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

   Field	What to enter
   Management key	Required. Stored encrypted and never shown again.

3. Click Connect with token.

Frameworks

Safeguard's automated tests read xAI and map to the controls below. When a test passes, the result is evidence toward each control it maps to, in every framework listed. It is evidence toward a control, not proof that the control is met on its own.

These tests are switched on per workspace by the Safeguard team.
