From the CLI and AI assistants
File support requests, bug reports and feedback, and read the answers, from the Safeguard CLI or an AI assistant connected to the Safeguard MCP server.
From the CLI and AI assistants
The CLI and the MCP server file the same tickets as the product's Help & Feedback sheet. Whatever you send appears in Messages › Support in the app, under your account.
Safeguard CLI
Sign in first (safeguard login). Then:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
safeguard support ask "<what you need help with>" | Ask support for help. new and request work as well as ask. |
safeguard support bug "<what went wrong>" | Report a bug. |
safeguard support feedback "<what you want to say>" | Send feedback. |
safeguard support list | Your requests, newest first. |
safeguard support show <id or reference> | One request and its thread. |
safeguard support reply <id or reference> "<your answer>" | Answer support on one of your requests. |
Options for every support command:
--priority low|normal|high|urgent: how urgent the request is (defaultnormal).--yes: answer the confirmation in advance, for scripts.
In the interactive terminal, /bug reports a bug, /feedback sends feedback, and /support (or /requests) asks for help and shows your requests. More on the CLI: Usage.
AI assistants (Safeguard MCP server)
An assistant connected to the Safeguard MCP server can file and follow requests for you:
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
safeguard_create_support_request | Ask support for help: a subject, a description and an urgency. |
safeguard_report_bug | Report a bug: a summary, and optionally the steps to reproduce, what you expected, what happened and a severity. |
safeguard_submit_feedback | Send feedback, a feature request, praise or a complaint. |
safeguard_list_my_support_tickets | Your requests, optionally only open or closed ones. |
safeguard_get_support_ticket | One request and its thread, by its SUP-XXXX-XXXX reference. |
safeguard_request_capability, safeguard_request_framework | Ask for a framework, integration, connector, scanner, language or report style that is missing. The assistant must confirm with you before it sends one. |
These tools work for a person signed in to the MCP server; a connection made with an API key alone can't file requests. A workspace administrator can switch the Support and requests and Capability requests tool groups off in Settings › MCP access. Each person can file up to 30 requests an hour this way.
