Connect with an API token

  1. In Uptime Robot:

    1. In the UptimeRobot dashboard, open the Integrations page and go to the API section.
    2. Create or copy the Read-only api_key, which can fetch data with all the get* API endpoints only.

Uptime Robot's public documentation does not cover every step.

The API docs name the Integrations page API section and the read-only key type, but do not give the button labels for creating the key or say whether it is shown once. Do not use the account-specific (main) key, which allows all API methods.

The permissions Safeguard needs: read-only API key.

  2. On Compliance › Connectors, open Uptime Robot, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

    FieldWhat to enter
API keyRequired. Stored encrypted and never shown again.
  3. Click Connect with token.

Frameworks

Safeguard's automated tests read Uptime Robot and map to the controls below. When a test passes, the result is evidence toward each control it maps to, in every framework listed. It is evidence toward a control, not proof that the control is met on its own.
