Connect with an API token

  1. In Transmit Security:

    1. Sign in to the Transmit Security (Mosaic) Admin Portal.
    2. Open your application from Applications and go to the relevant client settings to find its client ID and client secret; for management APIs across all tenant apps, create a Management Application from the Settings page instead.
    3. Exchange the client ID and secret for an access token with a POST to https://api.transmitsecurity.io/oidc/token using grant_type=client_credentials; tokens are valid for one hour and cannot be refreshed.
    4. To limit an OIDC or service client to read access, go to Admin Portal › Applications › your app › Clients › your client › Roles tab and assign a role with read-only permissions, such as a reader role with users:read.

Where to find the other values:

    • Base URL (optional): The API host for your region: api.transmitsecurity.io, api.eu.transmitsecurity.io, api.ca.transmitsecurity.io or api.au.transmitsecurity.io.

Transmit Security's public documentation does not cover every step.

    Source: developer.transmitsecurity.com, developer.transmitsecurity.com, developer.transmitsecurity.com, checked 2026-10-07.

  2. On Compliance › Connectors, open Transmit Security, click Connect, choose API token and fill in:

    FieldWhat to enter
API token / Personal access tokenRequired. Stored encrypted and never shown again.
    Base URL (optional)—
Account / Org / Workspace (optional)—
  3. Click Connect with token.
